Do I have to be a technical expert to use GOP Web Connect?

Not at all, but you should be comfortable using the Internet. If you are comfortable filling out forms online or if you are familiar with word processing programs such as Word, you can use GOP Web Connect. Our websites come pre-configured for easy editing, so that you can focus on your message. Customers are responsible for entering their own content so it is imperative that you have someone in your organization who is willing to take responsibility for editing your webpages

How long does it take for my new website to become active?

Once we have received your payment and setup options, we can usually create and configure your website within 24 hours, but it may take as long as 72 hours, not including weekends.

What if I have special requirements or want a unique design?

We are happy to work with you on a custom design or custom configuration to meet your organization's needs. We will give you a free consultation to assess your requirements and give you a quote for your project. Visit our Extra Services page or Contact us to discuss your needs.

Can I sign up now and upgrade to a higher plan at a later time?

Absolutely! The upgrade process is simple and all of your existing website data that you have already created with your existing account will still exist after your upgrade, so you won't have to rebuild your existing web pages. There will be a $100 upgrade fee when upgrading from a Basic to a Plus or Premium plan to cover the difference between the initial setup fees of the different plans. At this time, there is no upgrade fee for switching from the Plus Plan to the Premium Plan.

Can I use my own domain name with GOP Web Connect?

It isn't required, but you can use your own domain name with GOP Web Connect. If you do not yet have your domain name registered, you can visit www.GoDaddy.com to register one. If you do not wish to use your own domain name, we can create a url for you using our domain, which will look something like: http://yourname.gopwebconnect.com

Why is this service for Republicans?

We believe the Republican Party has an important message, but that this message is not being communicated well to the public. Many local Republican organizations have ineffective websites or no websites at all, leaving the public to rely on the mass media for information about the party. The goal of GOP Web Connect is to create user-friendly, inviting, and effective websites that are specifically tailored to the needs of Republican organizations.

Do you have to be a Republican to use GOP Web Connect?

We design our websites with Republicans in mind, but non-Republicans are welcome to sign up for our service. With the Plus or Premium Plans, you can upload your own logo to any of our themes, which will eliminate the Republican-specific branding from the site. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual or organization.

Can I use GOP Web Connect for a political campaign website?

Our 3 standard plans are not intended for short-term campaigns. Our customers are welcome to cancel their service at any time but you should not sign up for any of our 3 standard plans if your intention is to keep your site for less than 1 year. We will allow short-term organizations to sign up for our monthly service only with the purchase of a custom theme. Please visit our Extra Services page for short-term website needs. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual or organization which appears to have only short-term website needs.
